Q: What are the benefits to sleeping on a satin pillowcase?
A: Sleeping on a satin pillowcase helps maintain the moisture balance in the hair and skin, minimizes the appearance of fine “sleep lines” on the face, and decreases hair damage. Cotton is absorbent like a towel and pulls the moisture out of the hair and skin, causing dryness. Cotton also tends to “grab” onto the hair shaft, causing breakage. Satin allows the hair to “glide” across, decreasing breakage and “bed head”.

Q: How should I launder my satin products?
A: Satin Serenity recommends machine washing in warm water and drying on low-medium heat. Red or dark colors should be washed in cold the first time. You can also add a small amount of white vinegar to the wash to help set any red coloring.

Q: What is satin?
A: Satin is a weaving technique applied to many types of fabric including polyester, nylon, acetate, rayon, and silk. The shine and softness of the fabric is derived from the weave. When this technique is applied to cotton, the fabric is referred to as sateen. Satin Serenity uses a heavy weight Peau de Soie (meaning skin of silk) 100% polyester satin which is not as shiny or slippery as most satins found in fabric and department stores. This type of satin is also very durable, easy to care for, maintains its color, and has minimal wrinkling.

Q: What is special about Satin Serenity’s products?
A: Satin Serenity’s products are all made in the USA, using one of the finest types of satin available, Peau de Soie, meaning “skin of silk”. Princess Grace Kelly’s wedding gown was made of Peau de Soie fabric and so are most of the satin gowns worn on the red carpet.

Q: I have queen-sized pillows. What size of pillowcase would I need to order?
A: Our standard-size pillowcase fits both standard and queen-sized pillows.

Q: How are your products packaged?
A: Our pillowcases are packaged and sold individually. The travel pillows are packaged in a convenient clear vinyl carrying case with satin handles. The robes and body wraps are packaged in a beautiful organza bag with a satin drawstring handle.

Q: How long will it take to receive my order in the mail?
A: In-stock items usually ship within 48 hours via USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground. We will contact you with an estimated shipping date of back-ordered items. An additional processing fee and shipping charges will be charged for “Rush Orders”. Contact us by phone to place a “Rush Order”.

Q: Why do I need to provide my telephone number and email address?
A: Satin Serenity needs a way to contact you in case there is a problem processing your order. We will also email you with an order confirmation and shipping information. If you choose to be on our mailing list, we will email you about special promotions or new products. You can always choose to be removed from our mailing list. Satin Serenity will never sell or share customer information.

Q: Can I make an exchange for a different color or size?
A: Yes, as long as the product is in it’s original packaging and is accompanied by the receipt. We are unable to accept any exchanges or returns that have been used or laundered. Please refer to the “exchanges and returns” section for more information.
